The Evolution of Kellys Homes 1957 – 2009
In 1957, Osmond and Elaine Kelly became pioneers in the manufactured housing business. As the family business grew, other branches of the family worked alongside of Osmond and Elaine – including Elaine’s father, Edison and her brother, Clyde.
In the 70’s,after growing up with the business, sons Leigh and Wayne along with their wives, Kelly and Shirley, took ownership of the Company. At a later date, their sons, Fabian and Terry joined the service team along with Brian Sharpe (sales) Cynthia Allen (office) and Alden Brewer (service)
Just as the business has evolved and grown, so have the homes. Originally ,the Kellys sold only 10′ single wide homes. This soon changed and sales went to mainly 16′ wide homes up to 72 ‘ long. As well, a main part of the business includes selling other home styles…from a bungalow to a two storey – As the recently developed logo says: there are “endless possibilities”…….The 65 acres of prime City property that started as a family farm with apples, hogs and foxes, is now home for 325 families. Homes sold by this well known family business are located in many parts of the greater Fredericton area as well as other locations in New Brunswick
The Kellys are well known in the area for being active in many Fredericton organizations. They are proud to be a part of the Fredericton business community.
